Air Drift is a free web player for live internet radio. It puts 59,498 stations from 241 countries behind one search box and one globe: national broadcasters and college stations, round-the-clock jazz, news in every language, and community radio from towns you have never heard of.
There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. Pick a station and it plays, straight from the broadcaster to you. The directory is refreshed every day, so stations that have gone quiet drop out and new ones appear.

- Spin the globe or scan the list. Every country with a station on air is there, from the United States' seven thousand to a single station in the Pacific.
- Find a genre
- Around 160 genres, grouped into families: jazz and classical, news and talk, every decade of pop, and the long tail after them.
- See what's playing
- Artist and title appear wherever the station sends them, in the player and on your lock screen.
- Watch it play
- The stereo panel draws a spectrum analyser and VU meters from the stream itself, and shows where the station broadcasts from.
- Keep favourites without an account
- Stars and history stay in your browser. Export them to a file to move them to another device.
- Take it with you

Is Air Drift free?
Yes. There is no subscription, no account and no premium tier. Open the page and press play.
Why do some stations play ads?
Every stream comes straight from its broadcaster, exactly as it airs. Commercial stations run their own adverts; Air Drift does not add any.
Where do the stations come from?
From a volunteer-run public directory of internet radio, kept up to date by listeners and broadcasters. Air Drift refreshes its copy every day, so stations that go quiet drop out and new ones appear.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in any modern browser. Add it to your home screen to use it like an app, with play, pause and skip on the lock screen, headphones and car.
Why won't a station play?
Stations go off air, move their stream or refuse other sites. Air Drift hides stations the directory has marked broken and tells you when one does not answer; try another, or drift again.
Do you track what I listen to?
Only in aggregate. Air Drift counts visits and plays with Umami, an open-source analytics tool it hosts itself: no cookies, no advertising trackers, and nothing that identifies you. Favourites and history stay in your browser. By default the id of a station you play is also shared with the station directory to keep its rankings honest, and you can turn that off in settings.
